Christa Eberhard -Painter, USA

Artist's Bio

A volunteer with Palmetto Luna, Christa Eberhard was born and raised in Aiken, South Carolina. She found her passion last summer working as a teacher in a rural kindergarten in Honduras. She is now a Fine Arts major at the University of South Carolina and plans to explore her fascination with Hispanic culture with minors in Spanish and Latin American Studies. She believes that art is a retreat and a catharsis from daily life and wants to share her talents with those who do not have access to it.

Contamination is the story of our times. Its dirty presence is found in our food, our soil, our air. There is little that has not been touched by pollution of some sort. The world was so different even a century ago. Is this the mark we are to leave as patrons of the earth?

German Larrarte -Painter, Colombia

Artist's Bio

Born in Palmira Colombia, German Larrarte grew up in Santiago de Cali. Since he was 15, German’s passion has been painting. A self-taught artist, German seeks to portray the daily living, the rushing and quietness of life. He can be inspired by other people’s creativity and expression of life. German expresses himself through oil and watercolor. At 23 years of age, German did his first exhibition at the Chamber of Commerce in Palmira, Colombia. Among his latest artistic work are two oil on canvas; “Country Musicians” and “My Heritage”. German has lived in Columbia SC since 1999.

“I have always been very concerned about the way the environment has been deteriorating through the years, therefore, the quality of life of people on this planet. “Contamination” tries to portray the future that is ahead of us, unless we all do our part.”

Amanda Segura, Stained Glass Artist, USA

Artist's Bio

Amanda Segura has dwelled into several artistic endevours including stained glass, fabric weaving, painting and mis media. As a horticulturist she is higly interested in nature and natural expressions. She was born in Kentucky, and lives in Columbia with her husband and two daugthters Sofia and Maya.
